Do you have issues in your life which are causing you unhappiness and worry?
Do you experience a feeling of emptiness in your life? Are you disillusioned, depressed, fearful or anxious about things going on in the world? Does your life seem meaningless?
Is there a gap in your life that you are always trying to fill, but somehow never quite manage to?

If this is how you feel, it’s not surprising, especially as we are living in a society where issues like debt, unemployment, divorce, illness, family problems, drug and alcohol addiction, domestic violence, suicide, rape, paedophilia, murder, stealing, cheating, corruption, anger, hate, envy, lying, adultery etc are occurring all around us.

We are living in a fallen world – a world which has been influenced and shaped by a powerful evil force which has blinded the hearts of people, causing them to behave in ways that result in chaos, confusion, death and destruction.
But God, who created us, hates all the evil and calamities that are happening in the world.
It was not his desire or design for things to be the way they are. God loves us and wants us to have peaceful and fruitful lives. However, because man has chosen to live in a way that is not in line with God’s will, things have turned out the way they are.
The deadly force prevalent in society today is aimed at causing us to despise and rebel against a God who has nothing but our best interests at heart. All of our lives have been affected in one way or another because we have made choices that are in direct opposition to the will of God.
Each and every one of us is a sinner who has fallen short of the glory of God.

But, as the Bible tells us, there is a day of judgement approaching – a day when every single one of us will have to stand up and give an account to God of all of our actions. And for some, the consequences will be severe …

… The ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. Psalm 1:5-6

If we continue to live life in our own way and not God’s way – this will eventually result in our eternal separation from Him .. “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life …” Romans 5:12.
But God loves us so much it is not his wish that we should perish, but that we should have eternal life.

Long before we were in our mother’s womb, God had a plan and a purpose for our lives. Because He created us, He knows us better than we know ourselves and He is aware of all our needs. Unhappiness, emptiness, depression, fear, anxiety are not what God desires for us, and result from us not having the relationship with Him that He wants us to.
God’s desire is for us to have an everlasting life of peace with him; and so that we might receive this, he has made a way for us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds and separated from this world of darkness into His marvellous light. God loved us so much that He sent his Son Jesus Christ to die for us so we could be cleansed from all our sins and saved from the eternal damnation we would otherwise be heading for.
He has granted us the gift of eternal life in heaven with Him for eternity – in a place where there will be no more death, no more sorrow, no more crying, no more pain, but everlasting life and peace……This glorious and awesome gift is yours to receive when you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour and surrender your life to Him.
