The Men’s ministry at Vessels of Treasure Fellowship has been established to identify and minister to the needs of men
We focus on promoting the Lord Jesus Christ in our daily living as well as His importance in our lives.
This department is a channel through which men can express themselves to strengthen other brothers to the glory of God.
The men’s ministry has been empowered to help men be doers of the word to achieve their God given destiny (James 1:25)
To achieve our aim, we will:
•Encourage and exhort men through the word of God and their testimonies.
•Organise social events (sports. Day/evenings out) to maximise our fellowship and promote a bond of unity.
•We also have a men’s retreat once a year that again focuses on strengthening the bond and unity of men as well as stirring and developing their spiritual growth.
•Give an opportunity for men to express themselves which, strengthen new men in the church.
May the Lord add more men to labour in His vineyard. Amen

Woman’s Ministry
Strength Honour Excellence – A gracious woman retaineth honour…..
“Unveiling the Virtues and Glory of women”
S.H.E Stands for Strength, honour and excellence and is the name of our vibrant and empowering women’s ministry at Vessels of Treasure Fellowship.
Women in the BibleFrom Genesis to Revelation women have featured strongly in the bible in a number of roles, they are certainly not an insignificant part of God’s great plan of salvation.
However, it is wise to remember that there is always an order and purpose for the examples we see in the bible. From Prophetess to challenging Queen, there are a number of roles we can draw knowledge and understanding from.
Why S.H.E, Strength, Honour and Excellence
We believe that these qualities of character are essential for a Godly woman to possess in 2015.
The struggle to find one’s place in society is only a distraction to hide our true desire we all have, which is to find our purpose in Jesus.
Strength
Strength comes from Jesus Christ in our obedience to His word. Many women are seeking a false sense of strength, believing that masculinity, competing with men and usurping authority are ways to be recognised as a woman of strength.
However the Bible says that the strength of a women’s character is found in her meek and quiet spirit
Honour
A woman not in subjection to the Word of God or to her own husband, dishonours her own self because honour follows humility (Proverbs 18 :12).
In addition, (Proverbs 31 :25) tells us that strength and honour are the clothing of the virtuous woman; a woman, whose price is far above rubies (Proverbs 31:10)
Excellence
The prophet Daniel had an excellent spirit because of his God given wisdom and understanding. (Dan 5:12 )
The equivalent of a woman with an excellent spirit is one who exercises holiness, faith, trust and belief in God, as well as living according to the fruit of the spirit (Galatians 5 v22 – 23).
VISION
To support women aged 18 upwards, from all backgrounds, to develop and strengthen their relationship with the Lord Jesus, in order for them to live fulfilled lives as virtuous, holy, daughters, wives, sisters, mothers, aunts, and grandmothers of God.

Due to the changing nature of the world today, we understand that there are unforeseen challenges and transitions that women face. At VOTF we offer a range of counselling services to assist in various areas:
- spiritual edification
- bereavement support
- pre/post marriage counselling,
- parenting skills/advice
- Other services are available include:
- baby blessings
- music lessons
- a range of audio/visual material from our Multi Media Centre
- Bible study

Youth Ministry
Upper Room Youth Gathering
Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12
A ministry established for the empowering of a bold new generation.
The Upper Room Youth Gathering participate in diverse activities to present Jesus to others via creative means, namely; concerts, plays, musicals, song, dance, poetry, prose and art.
Our youth have the capability and willingness to make a strong impact on today’s society. All of the above listed are ways of nurturing and putting that ability into practice.
We endeavour to provide the place and opportunity for the development of young aspiring minds making use of on-site facilities for music production, desktop publishing, videography, photography, homework and various creative and academic applications.
Various strategies have been implemented involving youth in open forums, bible based teaching and ‘gender sessions’ (sessions geared specifically towards the males/females) to increase awareness of potential, enabling us also to see their capabilities and what God given gifts and talents they have.
We ensure that support is given to help youth reach their full potential, to fulfil what their lives were purposed and destined for.
A “Diary of Events” is utilized to ensure necessary guidance is given throughout each year via training, teachings and seminars preparing youth for the challenges they face in life. Equipping them with biblical/spiritual tools to overcome the pitfalls that many youth inevitably fall into.
The heart of this ministry is focused on grounding and strengthening the URYG Youth, whilst preparing for the influx of youth to come.
A people apt for ministry.
Apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and, teachers, spiritually strong, stirred up with zeal and excitement for the things of God, with the wisdom to execute the will of God in a mature and focused manner.
These are just some of the URYG’s Services and activities.
Friday Night Youth Service
Friday nights for the URYG consist of Youth Open Forum; Youth Services just like a service on Sunday, with songs of Praise & Worship, a section for the young people to share their gifts, talents and callings, a sermonette and of course, prayer.
The young people also engage in role-plays, quizzes/Q&A sessions and at the end of each month, a Friday Night Games Night.
Sports and Leisure
The URYG has two designated Sports Coordinators who have the youth participating in various sports and athletics such as football, basketball, rounders, tennis, 100m sprints and relay races (especially during the youth summer workshop) making use of the parks and sports facilities in the Lambeth area.
For bodily exercise profiteth little: (but godliness is profitable unto all things. 1 Timothy 4:8
The Youth Summer Workshop
Over the period the summer holidays, the URYG can be found out bowling, having a bite to eat at Nando’s; visiting museums; putting on plays and even walking the streets of Brixton to share the good news of Jesus Christ.
The youth thoroughly enjoy having wholesome activities to participate in which also includes Life Skills workshops,
in preparation for growth, also equipping the youth with a better mind to go back to school, college or university with.

Children of Light Ministry
“Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it”
Proverbs 22:6
Our vision is to introduce, develop and enhance the knowledge and understanding of the children in Vessels of Treasure Fellowship about the gospel of Jesus Christ and about the world from creation to Salvation, biblically.
During this time we will provide games and activities for the children that will help them understand and apply biblical truths.
The sessions will include biblical teaching, praying and songs so that the children can be spiritually fed and grow.
We also, create quizzes in order to develop the children’s level of understanding about the bible.
This gives a forum for the children to ask any questions about issues they don’t understand.
Each child attending the Sunday School completes a registration and consent form.
The Sunday School teachers use bible stories, songs, memory verses and games to help children to understand these
areas of the bible.
The teachers teach different topics that tie in with a monthly/fortnightly theme.

Music Ministry
Vessels of Treasure Fellowship is a very musically gifted church, filled with songs of joy and worship for the Lord.
This is why VOTF through God’s grace has set up a recording studio at its base with the essential equipment needed to produce and record music and songs of VOTF members.
Physical Pain Spiritual Gain
Physical Pain Spiritual Gain is an album written and produced by Pastor O.E.Akinpelu, released in late 2011. This album teaches you to sing praises to the name of Jesus. Despite the sorrow and Vessels of Treasure Entertainment Recording Label
Vessels of Treasure Fellowship has its own Record Label – Vessels of Treasure Entertainment (V.O.T.E). This recording label has been established as a means of releasing our own productions i.e. Music, Videos and Documentaries, such as the album Physical Pain Spiritual Gain. There are plans to release another album – ‘How Good’ featuring Vessels of Treasure Fellowship’s Choir True Life Chorale. You can read more about this department at www.votentertainment.com.
